These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and BookYearn. By creating an account or reading a page, you accept them. Please read them with the same care we put into your story.
BookYearn delivers one new page of your personalised story each day. A page unlocks automatically every day; we don't promise a specific unlock time, and the cadence is a core part of the experience. You agree not to attempt to circumvent the daily unlock.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account. You must be 18 or older to use BookYearn. Provide accurate information when you register, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
When you choose a selfie, we craft a stylised, illustrated likeness — never your real photo. You keep ownership of the photos you provide. You grant BookYearn a limited licence to process them solely to generate and display your avatar and to personalise your stories. The generated stories and avatars are for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
Don't misuse the service: no reverse engineering, no automated scraping, no attempts to extract another reader's data or stories, and no uploading of content you don't have the right to use. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
BookYearn is free to start: read your personalised story one page a day. Creating your own new stories, narration on every page, and scene illustration require a paid membership (Plus or Pro+). Paid memberships are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
BookYearn is an 18+ fantasy-romance experience with mature themes presented tastefully and closed-door. By using the app you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction. Stories are fiction; any resemblance to real people is coincidental, and the app must not be used to depict real, identifiable people.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the app or for legal reasons. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
BookYearn is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability for indirect or incidental damages. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived under applicable law.
